RCRC has seen recently small PACs popping up; one in Strafford County (SaberPAC.org) to help with radio ads against Senator Shaheen and one in Salem, chaired by Rep
Joe Sweeney of Salem, (GraniteSolutionsPAC.com) to help get Fiscal Conservatives elected. One of the programs we will be putting together is how to start a PAC in New Hampshire.
We will let you know when we start getting things rolling on this program.
Candidates for 2014
It's never too early to start looking at who's running again and what slots we need to fill.
I know Mark LaLiberte, and my Area Chairs have already been working it as well as Rep. Pam Tucker from the House Republican Alliance and Rep Laurie Sanborn from the House Minority Office.
Remember getting elected to town offices is a good way to get your name out there if you are interested in running for higher office later.
Northeast Republican Leadership Conference
I attended the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference this past weekend at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua. Let it be said
"No Ducks Were Harmed in the Process!"
The largest theme coming out of the conference was "Unity" once the primaries were over.
There was a wonderful list of events, including a panel of Women Legislators, moderated by Julianna Bergeron, which included;
Senator's Sharon Carson and Nancy Stiles and State Rep Carol Maguire. The common theme there is we need to get more women to run for office!
The other panel was hosted by Joe Scarborough and this one included; Mike Biundo, Paul Young, Jim Merrill, and Andy Demers.
All ran Presidential Campaigns in New Hampshire and they gave insights into the decision processes of what makes a campaign continue vs. drop out.
I believe you will be able to see some of the events on the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NRLC2014
All Events and additional info can be viewed at the State Party website at http://nhgop.org/events/calendar.
Just a reminder, if you want more visibility for your town committee events, please make sure you enter your event into the NHGOP Calendar.
